What Customers Say About Sennheiser PX200 Collapsible High-Performance Closed Headphones (Black):

After 5-6 months, there wasn't any sponges on the earcups, completely mess:) But still superb sound quality continued. This old ones hardcase is excellent for protection. This headphone isolates outside noise so well, that you can't hear your friends talking even if you listen music not so loud. I used this headphones for 4-5 years long, till it's earcups leather skin fall apart. Both are really good. :)This is a really good headphone overall, which deserves every penny. Now I had bought the second generation of this item for myself, and a first gen. has a soft case, which I dont like much.

You don't hear any outside noises and people around you don't hear your music. Then I gave it to my cousin, who used it for 5-6 months. It's excellent for travelling in public transportation. for my cousin. The second gen. The only bad thing about this headphone could be the sweat on your ears, because of it's leather cups. I am sure that, if this is the first time to use a hi-fi headphone, you'll find new tunes in your old songs :)

If the bass was good, it would be a 5.If you are like me, I would recommend instead the Sennheiser earbuds. So for things like that, I needed a second headphone that was inexpensive, had good sound, and kept the outside noises to a minimum - after much review reading, I settled on these.I will start with the good things - these headphones (at the time I purchased were on sale for $40) are a GREAT value. I have the CX300's and my girl has the CX380 Sport, and they are both very, very good. Even if you press the headphones against your ears the bass is STILL weak. So, generally speaking, for most soul music, jazz, classic rock, accoustic rock, etc.

I bought the Sennheiser 595's for soul music and sampled hip hop production - and also for general listening of all genres (f.y.i - AMAZING headphones). I ended up getting two pairs. They are extremely comfortable - I have fallen asleep with them on my head a handful of times and wake up in comfort with no damage to the headphones. It's not just weak, it's not just unclear, it DOES NOT EXIST.

I'm not even a fan of heavy bass - I just like it to be crisp and have a solid presence. The collapsable aspect and carrying case are awesome for travel and storage. And as for the sound, generally speaking the sound is impeccable for a $40 - $60 pair of headphones. You will noticably hear instruments and walls of sound that you never really noticed in basic headphones or speakers. I'm gonna set the record straight for the people out there reading reviews who are like me, and want things to be explained in elementary terms.3 months ago I did extensive research in hopes of finding the perfect headphones.

I want to make that clear, because when reading reviews I was led to believe that it's just a little softer than some of the big old expensive headphones. No - to repeat - IT DOES NOT EXIST. Not found here. Even the drums are affected by the lack of bass - kicks and snares sound lazy, weak and empty. When I say major, I mean it's enough to frustrate the hell out of me, and makes me not want to use them. Then, I bought these Sennheiser PX200's because the 595's leak mass amounts of sound, and sometimes I work on music late at night while my girl is sleeping, or in the living room while my roommate is watching TV. The PX200's are great.

These are almost as good as the 595's in that aspect - the mids and highs are very, very clear and well-rounded, and they really do have a crisp delivery. There is, however, one MAJOR downfall. That downfall is the BASS. But for hip hop, electronic, and most newer rock like Edward Sharpe & Kings of Leon, these headphones have a major, major downfall. My overall rating is really 3.5 stars. Or else I would drop a couple extra bills and get some higher-end headphones that are sure to satisfy.Hope that helps.

I got them for my son and he appears to be happy with them. The problem is the foldable case. None of us could put the headphones back in the case.

I bought these for the office three or four years ago, and they've stood the test of time well. They're comfortable, have a great sound (good bass), keep co-worker noise out, and don't leak sound. A good buy that has lasted well.

I bought these resently (not from amazon) and they are good out-of-the-box. These are smaller compared to other Sennheiser models and look clean on ears. I used couple of other high end head phones but these are better compared to them. Sound quality is very good and these fit nicely on head. I use them at work and sound leaks very little. Build quality is good too.-Sam.
